Palmerston North’s Premier Historic Conference and Wedding venue.

The property is listed Historical Places Trust Category 1 in the Palmerston North District Plan.

The House and CoachHouse sit in a picturesque 3 acres of gardens overlooking the Hokowhitu Lagoon, which is rich with birdlife and the occasional trout.

Caccia Birch Trust Board administers the property on behalf of the Palmerston North City Council and this organisation is an Incorporated Charitable Trust. A Manager undertakes the daily business and property administration for the Trust.

All fees charged for hiring the property are used to assist in the maintenance and operation of the property.
The fees are set at a reasonable cost recovery level to ensure the property is accessible for the community to enjoy and experience.

The Trust also operates regular ‘free’ Open Afternoons on Sundays which are advertised in local papers like the Tribune or Guardian.
These are held to promote the educational and cultural values of the property and in particular, encourage schools and local interest groups to learn about its rich and diverse local history. (History Page) It also provides an opportunity to people who may not otherwise use the venue.

Tours groups and casual visitors are most welcome to visit.
